A Day in the Life: Val, nursing team
Hi, I’m Val Robertson, and I work as a Health Care Assistant at JHP. Each day is normally a combination of my main tasks as an HCA – seeing patients, doing tests or taking samples.

I’d not been here long before the Covid-19 pandemic hit and we had to make some pretty big changes to the way we were working.
Restarting Cervical Screening
If your cervical screening is overdue or would have been coming up soon and you’re yet to get an invitation – don’t worry, you’ve not been forgotten. Please remember too that invitations for routine screening are sent to healthy people without symptoms.

Changes to Shielding
As of 1st August the requirement for people in certain groups to ‘shield’ has been lifted.
