Patient Update: Our Christmas Opening Times | Please Reorder Prescriptions Early
We Are Closed

Marilyn barredo

Receptionist/Administrator

You might not be able to see the smiles behind the masks, but we’re the same friendly reception team.

That’s the message to patients – we’re here, just as before, and we’re here to help you.

What’s Changed?

If you haven’t been to the practice in the last 6 or 7 months, we wanted to show you what to expect.

The first thing, as many of you will know, is to only come to the practice if you have an appointment. There are lots of ways to access services remotely. For prescriptions you can call, use the NHS app or go online, and to get help from a Doctor, you can use Salvie, our online consultation tool.

If you don’t have the internet, we’ll make sure you can access the same services. You can call us on 0191 281 4588 and we’ll enter your request into Salvie for you. It’ll get to our clinicians in exactly the same way.

When You Visit

Of course, people do still need to be seen in person and we’ll always do our best to find a time to suit you. When you arrive, the first thing to do is to make sure you are wearing a mask or face covering. They’re required for everyone in all NHS settings, including all staff.

Hand sanitiser is available through both sites, please use this thoroughly when you come in.

We also need to make sure we stick to social distancing in the waiting rooms. You’ll see that we’ve removed extra furniture, so chairs are spaced out for you. That’s also why we ask you not to arrive early.

Instead of leaflets or printed newsletters – anything we might all pick up and put down again – our information screens have all our latest updates.

We’ll also regularly sanitize the reception desk, chairs and door handles to keep us all safe.

Aside from that, we’re still the same smiling faces, here to help and give you the best care possible.
