I am a Foundation Year 2 Doctor, meaning I am in the second year of my post-graduate training. After qualifying from medical school, new Doctors undertake a two-year, general postgraduate medical training programme before going on to specialist training. Foundation training involves rotating through various NHS roles, including within GP practices.

In my role I’m responsible for clerking patients in clinic and devising management plans and if needed, subsequent referral to secondary care with senior input.
