Patient Participation Group Code of Conduct

All Members of the PPG make this commitment:

Equality and Diversity and Inclusion

JHP PPG is a patient led and self-organised group.  Membership is open to all registered patients, carers of registered patients, and practice staff at Jesmond Health Partnership (JHP). 

Members of the PPG undertake to treat everyone with equal respect whatever their background and will work to ensure PPG activities meet the needs of all practice patients.

Confidentiality

Talking to patients as part of engaging in project work may lead to PPG members gaining privileged or personal information.  This information should be treated as confidential and may not be shared openly or in an identifiable manner verbally, in writing or on a social media platform. 

Participation

• Members of the PPG are committed to delivering results as a group.
• PPG discussions, verbal or by correspondence, will be open and flexible and members will listen to and support others. 
• Members can contribute to discussions or raise issues of concern via the JHP PPG email JHP.PPG@gmail.com
• Members will be invited to take part in surveys, particularly those run online, and to get involved in other project work.
• Members will accept the decisions of the Steering Group as final.
• Members will not use the PPG as a forum for any personal agenda or complaints, or to promote a business.
