Meet the Team
Our practice has gone through some changes in the past few years, and we’re delighted to introduce (or reintroduce) the friendly faces who make up our team. Now settled and working together as a strong, united group, we’re here to provide you with the best possible care.
Over the next few months, we’ll share a little about each team, who we are, what we do, and how we all help keep our practice running smoothly. We’re excited for you to get to know us better!
Meet the Team: The Partners
You might not know it, but GP practices are actually independent businesses.
In most cases they’re run by a team of GP partners, and are contracted by the NHS to deliver healthcare to patients.
So, as well as seeing patients our Partners are responsible for making sure everything we do meets NHS regulations and targets, and, most of all, provide high-quality accessible care for you.
Working the Practice teams, the Partners oversee the day-to-day running of our four sites in Jesmond and Gosforth.

Following the successful merger of JHP and Gosforth Memorial last Spring, we now have an experienced team of 4 GP Partners.

Dr Ben Davies
Dr Davies specialises in children’s health and men’s health, and is also one of the Clinical Directors of Jesmond Lower Gosforth Primary Care Network.

Dr Nicholson has special interests in Dermatology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as being the clinical supervisor for Foundation Year Junior Doctors at the Practice.
