Welcome to new patients and staff
Following the completion of JHP’s merger with Avenue Medical Practice, we would like to welcome all new patients and staff that have joined us from Avenue.
Information for Patients joining us
We are now fully integrated as one practice. Avenue’s phone lines, email inbox and website, are all now forwarded to JHP; patients should now use these as the primary way to contact us.
We have set up a new page on our website to help our newest patients get to know the practice and our team. Follow the link or click the image below to get started.
The quickest ways to get help
The week following a bank holiday always sees an increase in phone calls, and this is especially true at the moment with back-to-back bank holiday Mondays. So please bear with us if it takes a little longer than usual for us to answer.
There are two things you can do that will speed up how soon we can get to your request.
One is to set up an askymyGP account, if you haven’t already. askmyGP is our digital consultation tool that gives quick and easy access to our clinical team and fast solutions for patients.
Setting up an account only takes a minute or two, with no long forms to fill in and nothing to download. Once logged in, you can describe your issue in your own words, choose which Doctor you want to help you, and how you would like them to reply.
Visit our New to JHP? page for a step-by-step guide.
Our second tip is to make use of the NHS App. Free and safe to download and use, the NHS App makes thing like reording a repeat prescription quick and easy.
Welcome to new staff
We are now working as one staff team, and are pleased to have a number of the Avenue team joining us.
Dr Conrad, Dr Swanepoel and Advanced Nurse Practitioner Gill Elder have joined our clinical team.
Pamela Patterson has joined the JHP management team, and Judith McKeown has joined the admin team (and also works as a Health Care Assistant). Helen Johnstone and Tracy Rutherford have joined the Reception team as well.
