Jesmond Lower Gosforth Primary Care Network has a vacancy for a Clinical Pharmacy Technician to join the team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will join an established, friendly team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in a patient-facing role, alongside a multi-disciplinary team. Our ideal applicant works well in a team and understands patient-centred care. This is an evolving role, and we are looking for an innovative, motivated person to join the team.
We are proud of our culture of continuing professional development and clinical supervision. The successful candidate will enrol on the Primary Care Pharmacy Educational Pathway (PCPEP) and receive the support and resources needed for its completion.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Care Home residents to lead improvements in safe prescribing
- Undertaking a patient-facing and supporting role
- Assist the PCN in achieving national requirements
The post will be resources and supported by the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust but will be based across the four GP Practices of the Jesmond Lower Gosforth Primary Care Network (JLG PCN)

What we are looking for
You will have an S/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services and approved underpinning knowledge e.g. BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent recognised pharmacy technician qualification plus experience to degree equivalent.
This is an evolving role and we are looking for an innovative, motivated person to join the team.
