The vaccine bus, which offers drop-in sessions at locations all over the city, now offers first, second and booster doses of the Pfizer vaccinations.

First, a reminder that:

  • Vaccines are free and safe.
  • Anyone 16 or older can book an appointment or go to a drop-in session.
  • Over 16s need two does of the same vaccine at least 8 weeks apart.
  • Anyone 50 or over, or clinically vulnerable can get a booster jab. You need to have had your second dose more than 6 months ago.
  • Children aged 12-15 can get vaccinated at school, with a parent or guardian’s consent.

Centre For Life – walk-in serviceĀ 

The Centre For Life large vaccine centre is currently offering both bookable and a walk-in, no appointment needed service for all over 16s. 

This will run every day from 9am – 6pm.

Pfizer 1st and 2nd doses available. The second dose must be at least 8 weeks after your first. 

Community Pharmacies

Pharmacies across Newcastle are now offering vaccinations, making it even easier to pop along and get your jab.

All pharmacy appointments can be booked through the National Booking System or by calling 119.

Large vaccination sites

Large vaccination sites have lots of appointments, with more being added all the time. They have the most options in terms of times if you are looking to book an appointment at a set time and date.

All large vaccination site appointments can be booked through the National Booking System or by calling 119.

  • The Centre For Life Vaccination Centre
  • The Nightingale Vaccination Centre North East (located in Washington).
