If you’ve been to the practice recently, you might have wondered why staff are wearing gloves, masks and other protective equipment.

The NHS and the government have issued strict guidance that all staff should be using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

NHS staff come into contact with a lot of patients, and coronavirus can be transferred by people without any symptoms. Using PPE reduces the chances of staff getting the illness and then infecting other people.
