I am full time and split my time between No 17 and No 200.

                                                                                                Data Quality & Audit Administrator

Since joining JHP in 2016, I’ve been in charge of auditing our data to make sure we’re meeting our contracts.

Over the last 20+ years I’ve worked across the NHS in primary and secondary care in a range of roles.

I’m part time and based at No 17.

For most patients, we'll be the first person you speak to, either in person or on the phone. We're here to answer your questions and queries, book appointments and make sure you get the care you need.

At times we might ask you about your issue so we can direct you to the best person for your needs. We're trained to do this, and everything you tell us is confidential.

                                                                                                    Katie Davidson

                                                                                                    Reception Team Lead

My role is to support and train the reception team to deliver the best patient care and experience possible.  I engage with patients, GPs and other team leads  to strategize how we can continue to develop and provide the best care for our patients.  I look after and implement systems to help with the daily operations of both of the sites.

Previously I’ve worked in other GP practices, as a Pharmacy Technician, as well as managing school out of hours provisions and working with children with autism and ADHD.

I’ve been with JHP since 2018. I’m full time and based predominately at No 17 Osborne Road.

My work in the Reception Team centres on assisting patients with scheduling appointments, filing, record keeping and a range of other admin tasks.

I’m full time, working at both sites on Osborne Road.

                                                                                                            Pat Browell

I’ve been at the practice since 2008 and work in the Reception team.

This means answering calls and meeting patients, as well as carrying out a wide range of general admin duties.

I work between the two sites on a part time basis.

I started working at Jesmond Health Partnership in 2021.

My main responsibilities are to book appointments for patients, scanning documents and generally helping out the Reception Team.

I work part-time at No 17 Osborne Road.

                                                                                                                    Erin Clift

Since January 2020 I’ve been providing Admin/Reception support to JHP when needed.

Providing cover means I need to be able to carry out admin tasks as well as speak to patients and make sure they get to the help they need.

I’m work at both sites on a part-time basis, and also study Law at University.

I joined Jesmond Health Partnership as an Apprentice in March 2020.

One of my main job roles is to welcome patients when they arrive for their appointments, take samples or answer any queries. Another responsibility is to print off records of patients who are no longer registered with us, and make sure our information is up to date. I worked in New Look before joining JHP.

I’m full time and split my time between the two sites.

I work as a Receptionist having joined the team in 2017 after studying childcare at college.

My role is to help patients and deal with their queries as efficiently as possible. This covers a lot of things but mainly revolves around booking appointments, making sure prescriptions are processed and everything else.

I work full time between both sites.

                                                                                                                                Receptionist/Administrator

In December 2019 I started with the Reception team at JHP.

I deal with patient queries, problem solve, and provide administrative guidance during patient care, both in-person and over the phone. I’ve worked as a Biomedical Scientist in Haematology & Blood Transfusion at University Hospital North Durham, and as an Analyst at UK Independent Medical Services.

                                                                                                                                    Melissa Richley

                                                                                                                                    Receptionist/Administrator

As part of the Reception Team, I deal sympathetically with patients on the phone and in person. The most common tasks for me are repeat prescriptions requests and repeat dispensing, filing hospital letters, reports, scanning and updating patient records.

I joined the team in 2016 from Falcon Medical Group where I was a Medical Receptionist.

                                                                                                                                    I’m currently on maternity leave.

I joined Jesmond Health Partnership in August 2021 as a Receptionist.

My role involves helping patients with their enquiries, as well as scanning and processing documents and analysing data.

I work for the primary care network and take on home visiting for JHP and the 3 other surgeries in the network. My role is to assess patients who are unable to attend the surgery within their own homes. I am able to manage and treat a range of acute presentations as required.

I have worked overseas and in the UK in varying roles including within the travel industry and as a civilian for the armed forces. My main career has been with the North East Ambulance Service as a paramedic. I worked on front line emergency care ambulances for a number of years before progressing to the Hazardous area response team and eventually as a solo response critical care specialist paramedic.

I qualified as a registered paramedic with a foundation degree in Paramedic Science through Teesside University. I continue to study at Teesside University for an MSc in advanced clinical practice. My interests are in developing paramedic practice within primary care and especially in developing the acute visiting service provided by the PCN.

Since joining the PCN in June 2021, I’ve been working full time covering all 4 GP practices. I work at both No 17 and No 200 Osborne Road.

                                                                                                                                                Clinical Pharmacist

I work with GP surgeries in Gosforth and Jesmond to improve prescribing, particularly for older patients and people who take a large number of medicines.

As a pharmacist, I can focus on making sure medicines are safe, effective, appropriate, based on the latest guidance, and suited to the individual.

I do in-depth medication reviews with patients, based on what matters to them and how they find the experience of taking medicines.

I’ve worked and trained in hospitals and general practice in both Leeds and Newcastle, and completed a Masters in Pharmacy from the University of Sunderland in 2017. I started working with JHP in November 2019.

I qualified with a degree in Paramedic Science in 2012 and have undertaken roles in Emergency Care, Clinical Management, Specialist Care and Minor Injuries. Through regular reviews, we can discuss how they are getting on, and changes we can make to their medication or other support through my network colleagues that might help.

I work with JHP patients, as well as those at the other three practices in the Jesmond Lower Gosforth Primary Care Network.

My role is to help people aged 65 and over with social issues, including social isolation, loneliness and frailty.

I visit people at home and forge links with community groups.

I joined the Jesmond Lower Gosforth PCN in October 2020, and work with patients at JHP and the other three practices in the Network.

                                                                                                                                                                    Sarah McGuinness

                                                                                                                                                                    Social Prescribing Link Worker

My role is to help people aged 65 and over with social issues, including social isolation, loneliness and frailty.

Being community-based means I can visit people at home, and forge links with community groups.

I take the time to get to know people and what matters to them. By increasing their confidence and linking them to community services and groups, people can be empowered to take control of their health and wellbeing.

Over my 15 years in the NHS, I’ve worked in physiotherapy and mental health services, and with adults with learning disabilities. I work with JHP and the 3 neighbouring practices in the Jesmond Lower Gosforth Primary Care Network and the 5 practices in the North Gosforth PCN.

My role is to support the practices with implementing and delivering services and initiatives for patients in our area.

Before coming to Jesmond in September 2021, I previously worked for the South Tyneside NHS Healthcare Trust, the Marie Curie hospice in Newcastle, South Tyneside College and Sunderland AFC.

I work part-time, based at No 17 Osborne Road.

                                                                                                                                                                            Lauren Woods

                                                                                                                                                                            Care Coordinator

As a care coordinator I work alongside care home patients, their family and carers to create personalised care and support plans. I spend time discussing what is important to the patient and ensure that their care is coordinated in a way that reflects their care plan.

Before coming to Jesmond in November 2020, I worked within a supportive environment with a range of different individuals supporting with housing, homelessness, substance misuse, mental health, and general advice/wellbeing.

I work fulltime between JHP, and the three other practices in the Jesmond Lower Gosforth PCN.
