Joe Wicks Launches ‘Activate’ – A Fun Way to Get Kids Moving
Joe Wicks has launched a new animated series called Activate. It’s made to get kids moving and having fun.
The series was created with Studio AKA – the team behind Hey Duggee. It’s backed by the government to help kids and families get more active – especially over the summer holidays.
Each episode is only five minutes long. It’s full of energy, movement and music. These short videos can boost children’s health – both body and mind. They help get hearts beating faster and improve focus.

The videos can be used at home or during summer clubs. It’s easy to fit them into any day.
Right now, more than half (53%) of children in the UK don’t get enough daily exercise. Activate wants to change that. It makes fitness fun by using music and colourful cartoon characters.
Many parents worry about keeping their kids active in the holidays. Activate helps by turning screen time into active time. It’s good for both mental and physical health – during the summer and all year round.

The show stars an animated Joe Wicks and six new characters called The Activators. Each one brings something special.
- Blue – reminds kids to stay hydrated (drink water).
- Green – shows off their football skills.
- Turquoise – gets the party started with fun, dance-style moves.
- Yellow – brings boundless energy and encourages kids to keep going.
- Pink – represents fearless inclusivity, helping every child feel welcome and confident.
- Red – brings strength and calm, encouraging balance and steady focus.
Each character helps children feel included and excited to join in. Every child can find a favourite.
Activate isn’t just for summer. It’s great for school brain breaks, rainy days or a quick boost at home. These short bursts of movement help build strong, healthy habits.
The first episode is free to watch now on The Body Coach YouTube channel. New episodes will come out every week this summer.
