We are proud to support World Down Syndrome Day

World Down Syndrome Day 2025 is all about support.

Everyone needs support sometimes. But the kind of support we need is different for each person. This is the same for people with Down’s syndrome.

The right support at the right time helps people with Down’s syndrome live life their way. It gives them choice, independence, and respect.

Families also need support. They help care for and stand up for their loved ones.

The Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) has been working for over 50 years to make sure people with Down’s syndrome, their families, and carers get the support they need.

Extra Ordinary

This year, we are delighted to be sponsoring Extra Ordinary, a vibrant celebration of children with Down Syndrome, capturing the joy, love, and impact they bring to their families and communities.

Through stunning fine-art style portraits of natural, candid moments, photographer Debbie Todd shines a light on their unique personalities, talents, and the way they enrich the world around them.

The Extra Ordinary series is on display in the Metrocentre from today, and will run for 4 weeks. It can be found between the Green and Blue malls.

Debbie Todd is a working-class photographer with a deep commitment to telling the stories of those whose voices are often overlooked or misunderstood. Her work is grounded in social engagement, focusing on marginalised and underrepresented communities, especially those with lived experiences that shape their identities and perspectives. Through her lens, she aims to shed light on the complexities of life at the intersections of class, identity, and culture.
