For patients who have their prescriptions sent directly to a pharmacist, we wanted to give a quick reminder about times.

From us sending the request to the pharmacy, we advise a minimum of 2 working days before your prescription will be ready for collection. Given the current circumstances, individual pharmacies may take longer than this.

If you want to find out if your prescription is ready to pick up from your chosen pharmacy, it’s important you contact them directly. Once the request is sent, we at JHP do not get updates on your prescription’s status.

Nominating a pharmacy to have your prescriptions sent to is simple – either use our online system if you are registered, or speak to the Reception team by calling 0191 281 4588.

We strongly encourage patients to do this both for their convenience and to help reduce visits to the practice and the risk of spreading coronavirus.
