Salvie: Is your request urgent?

At certain times we may ask patients to only send specific requests to us through Salvie. This allows us to prioritise the most urgent and time-sensitive issues.

We will only implement this in circumstances where it is unavoidable, such as:

  • Significantly reduced clinical capacity at JHP (caused by staff illness or other unplanned absences).
  • A greatly increased volume of requests from patients.
  • A combination of both these circumstances.

What are ‘urgent’ medical issues?

We define urgent as an adult or child who is acutely unwell and needs to be seen today

Do not use Salvie for any life-threatening emergencies, you should call 999 or go to A&E.

Please consider if you need to send your request today

Please only send a request through Salvie today if:

  • It is an urgent medical issue that needs assessment or treatment today.
  • It is a prescription or medication request that can be processed in 2-3 days as normal.
