In the coming months, people aged over 70 or who are clinically vulnerable will start to receive phone calls inviting them for their covid-19 booster vaccine.
As with the first rollout of the vaccine programme, Newcastle GP Services (NGPS) are coordinating the process for all 31 GP practices in the city.
NGPS have been in charge of delivering over 200,000 vaccinations since December last year. They will be helping practices book patients in by making the calls to patients.
For patients’ peace of mind, if you receive a call from an unknown or withheld number, and the caller identifies themselves as being from NGPS, then please be assured it is genuine.
The first groups to be called will be the most vulnerable and elderly, so please bear with us if you don’t receive a call from NGPS straight away.
