COVID-19 Vaccine Update #8: New eligibility and 2nd dose information

Vaccine appointments are now open to anyone aged 40 and over (or will turn 40 before 1 Jul)y. Follow the link to book your covid-19 vaccination appointment.

All appointments for those aged 40-49 are being scheduled through the national booking system, with appointments at the mass vaccinations sites – the nearest being Centre for Life in Newcastle (details in our vaccines FAQ). You will be able to book your first and second vaccination appointments at the same time,

We can’t access this booking system through the practice, so would ask patients to book themselves and please not contact us.

Clinics for second doses are released weekly and will be 11-12 weeks after your first dose. This week we will be recalling patients for their second jabs who received their first in the weeks beginning 15th and 22nd February.

Over 34.5 million first doses have been administered in the UK, with more than 52.5 million people also receiving their second jab. The latest figures can be found on the Government vaccine dashboard.
