People aged 44 – or who will turn 44 before 1st July – are now able to book covid vaccination through the national online system. Follow the link to book your covid-19 vaccination appointment.
All appointments for those aged 44-49 are being scheduled through the national booking system, with appointments at the mass vaccinations sites – the nearest being Centre for Life in Newcastle (details in our vaccines FAQ).
We can’t access this booking system through the practice, so would ask patients to book themselves and please not contact us.
We’re look9ng at ways to make the most of the vaccine supply, and streamline the booking process between the national system, and the city-wide GP programme. We will of course update you as and when the process changes.
Everyone in groups 1-9 have now been offered the vaccine. Clinics for second doses are released weekly and will be 11-12 weeks after your first dose. This week we will be recalling patients for their second jabs who received their first between the 9th and 13th of February.
Over 33.6 million first doses have been administered in the UK, with more than 12.5 million people also receiving their second jab. The latest figures can be found on the Government vaccine dashboard.
