We Are Open

People aged 45 and over are now eligible to book their first covid-19 vaccine, and other news in our 6th weekly update.

Please remember, our Reception team does not have additional information or access to lists for first or second jabs. We are asking patients to refer to these updates for information, leaving the phone lines open for patients who need to speak to us.

Last week, eligibility was opened up to part of the 10th priority group – people aged 45-49. People in this group can book online at one of the national vaccination sites, with the closest being Centre for Life in Newcastle (details in our vaccines FAQ).

Appointments can be booked at NHS.uk.

We are not yet able to book appointments for 45-49-year-olds through our systems. Please book via the national system and don’t ring the practice.

Everyone in groups 1-9 have now been offered the vaccine. Clinics for second doses are released weekly and will be 11-12 weeks after your first dose. This week we will be recalling patients for their second jabs who received their first on the 3rd, 4th, 6th, or 7th of February.

Nearly 33 million first doses have been administered in the UK, with almost 10 million people also receiving their second jab. We will next contact people who received their first jab on 27th, 28th, and 30th January. The latest figures can be found on the Government vaccine dashboard.
