Two groups of patients can now book a covid-19 vaccination online or by calling 119.
The two eligible groups are:
- Those aged 70 or over
- Those who have received a letter saying they are at high risk from coronavirus. You can find more information on who is covered in the ‘clinically extremely vulnerable’ group here.
Please be aware that this process is not being coordinated by GP practices. You must contact the NHS directly either online or by calling 119. You must be registered with a GP England.
How to Book
Go to the NHS website to book or manage your appointment. As well as the first date, you can also schedule a date for your second dose. This will normally be 11 or 12 weeks after your first jab.
The service also allows you to cancel and rebook appointments, should you need to.
For those unable to book online, you can call 119 free of charge between 7 am and 11 pm.
Other Groups
If you are not in either of these two groups and haven’t yet been contacted about a vaccine, please wait. There is an agreed process of priority and you will be contacted when it is your turn.
So far, more than 12 million people across the UK have received their first dose.
We all must continue to protect ourselves by wearing masks, regular handwashing, and social distancing, even if we have had a first dose of the vaccine.
